Rehearsals are now well under way and on Saturday 6th June 2009 we will be having a workshop in The Methodist Schoolroom, Leyburn from 10.00am till 1.00pm. Please come along and have a listen to see how we are getting on!

Our second performance will be St Oswald's Church, East Witton on the 18th July with a rehearsal at the church on the 15th and possibly the 17th as well. Please try and be available for all these dates.
Rehearsals are as usual in Leyburn Methodist Schoolrooms starting on Wednesday May 6th at 7.30pm. The first rehearsal will finish at 9.00pm on this evening to enable us to have tea/coffee and biscuits so that we can all have a cuppa and a chat! Registration and collection of music will be from 7.00pm onwards.
Other Saturday rehearsal 27th June - Leyburn Methodist Schoolrooms - times to be 10.00am to 1.00pm.
Fancy joining us?
We have our rehearsal and then finish in time to have a tea or coffee and catch up with old friends (some we don't see from one year to the next) or to welcome and make friends with new faces. If you are new to the area or just fancy joining in then please get in touch - you will be warmly welcomed (especially if you sing Tenor!).
There is so much I could say about The Wensleydale Chorus. The Chorus usually has about 70 or so members and they rehearse for only 10 weeks or thereabouts from May to July.
Two performances take place at the end of the 10 weeks and then the Chorus doesn't meet again until the same time the following year. It's a right good sing between lambing and haytime!
Every-one will be more than welcome.
Chorus members please contact as soon as you can if you already have your own copies of the 2009 pieces as this means we won't need to hire as many and therefore cut down on some costs.
If you fancy a sing come along it is 27 years since the Chorus first met and Stanley Roocroft MBE has been at the helm for them all !!
We are always in need of new Chorus members and also if you don't fancy singing but would like to support us you could become a Patron and get your name in our programme!!

The Wensleydale Chorus 2008.
Once again The Wensleydale Chorus put on a magnificent performance .
Mendelssohn's uplifting Hymn of Praise and the wonderfully contrasting and operatic Messa di Gloria by Puccini.
The concerts took place in July in Askrigg and East Witton and were well supported at both venues so thank you to all those who came to support.
